A so-called ring radiator is used to reproduce even the finest details in the high-frequency range. A narrow aluminium ring forms the membrane. Due to the ring shape, a uniform radiation is possible up to the highest frequencies. The deep-drawn shape of the membrane achieves a very high internal rigidity, which, in combination with the damping provided by the double suspension, allows almost no resonance. The result is a clear, undistorted sound reproduction that reveals all the nuances of the music.

Using this component also in the center area, in conjunction with a midrange driver, stabilises the sound stage centrally on the dashboard. This achieves identical sound characteristics in the three front channels that are essential for optimum sound quality – for a homogeneous and therefore realistic stage image.
