Since the introduction of the Burmester High-End Surround Sound System in the Porsche Panamera, Burmester has been considered a benchmark for factory-integrated car hi-fi systems. The Burmester High-End Surround Sound System was the first car audio system ever to receive the “Image Hifi Award”. The partnership was continued successfully with the Porsche Cayenne, the 911 Carrera, the Boxster, the Cayman, and 918 Spyder. With the next generation of Porsche Panamera, Burmester entered an entirely new sound dimension of listening quality, which can also be experienced in the Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Taycan.

Auro 3D
With the Auro 3D function, additional speakers in the A-pillar significantly expand the spatiality of music reproduction. This acoustically removes the boundaries of the passenger compartment, with a sound stage that is created in front of the occupants above the dashboard.
The immersive sound is made possible for any format or genre of music thanks to Auro-Matic®.
AMT-Tweeter

Hybrid amplifier
Another unique selling point in the market is the use of powerful yet efficient hybrid amplifiers. We have utilised our decades of experience in analog amplification in the home audio sector into the automotive field. Analog amplification and filters for the high and mid-range are combined with digital amplification in the low-frequency range – for a warm, natural, detailed but at the same time powerful sound.

Pure
The Pure function enables unadulterated sound reproduction without additional effects for the purest music enjoyment.
Smooth
The Smooth preset ensures relaxed long-term listening pleasure by subtly lowering overemphasized frequency components in the mids and highs.
Live
The Live function gives every music aspect a thrilling soundscape that puts you in the middle of a live concert experience.
Sound Conditioner
The Sound Conditioner ensures a constant listening experience in every driving situation. It subtly adjusts the sound depending on influencing noises – for unadulterated music enjoyment.
Surround
With its complex algorithmic the Surround preset generates a virtual surround sound by increasing the spatial effect.
Auro 3D Intensity
This setting allows you to choose the preferred level of spatial sound intensity.
Listening position
The optimal sound for the respective listening position can be individually focused here.
Sound Enhancer
The Sound Enhancer enables optimised listening pleasure from sources with reduced data rates and restores corresponding audio signals very carefully. This way, compressed music formats benefit significantly in terms of playback quality.
